This is significant to the field of nursing in that there is a very real possibility that a teacher who has experienced the death of a student will have to seek the assistant of a nurse or someone in the nursing profession was a direct result of the inability to cope with the death of a student. In seeking the assistance of a nurse, it is important for nurses to be aware of both the physical and psychological effects of having experience the death of a young person.
